Sean began his legal career in 2012, working inhouse at a Yorkshire-based Legal 500 firm before relocating to the North East to join a national costs practice. He joined Carter Burnett in 2020 and now serves as a Director and Manager of the firm’s Newcastle office.

Over the course of his career, Sean has acted for FTSE 100 companies, public bodies, law firms and private individuals. His expertise spans all areas of civil litigation costs, including Catastrophic Injury, Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Dispute Resolution and Commercial matters.

With a social media following of more than 17,500, Sean is a recognised voice in the industry and has been featured in the Law Gazette, Solicitors Journal, CILEx Journal, and Litigation Funding magazine. He is a regular speaker at conferences and events nationwide and frequently delivers bespoke inhouse training.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys exploring the Northumberland countryside on long walks with his partner and their sprocker spaniel.
