Gavin is a partner at Womble Bond Dickinson and has over 20 years' experience of acting for trustees and employers on all aspects of pensions law.

He provides strategic advice on a range of complex issues for defined benefit, hybrid and defined contribution schemes. He has particular expertise advising on scheme funding and de-risking strategies, security arrangements and pension scheme restructuring and risk transfers across a number of sectors.

He is also responsible for scheme governance within the pensions team. He is recognised amongst clients as an expert in this field and has written extensively on the subject and delivered numerous training sessions to clients, intermediaries and industry experts.

Gavin is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers.

Outside work Gavin enjoys cooking, reading, running and actively supporting his sons' sporting pursuits (rugby and football).
