CLSQ becomes Silver Sponsors of The Newcastle and North of England Law Society

CLSQ has become a Silver Sponsor of The Newcastle and North of England Law Society, strengthening the firm’s commitment to supporting legal professionals across the North of England.

The sponsorship follows CLSQ’s recent appointment of Claire Elliot as Business Development Manager for the North of England and builds upon its continued investment in the legal sector, with a particular focus on helping law firms to manage risk across property and estate administration matters.

CLSQ specialises in Legal Indemnity Insurance (LII) and Estate Administration insurance, providing both online and bespoke solutions for legal professionals. Backed by leading AA-rated insurers the business combines specialist underwriting expertise with intelligent technology and responsive customer support to help firms manage risk with confidence.

For conveyancers, LII has become an increasingly important tool in facilitating the smooth progression of property transactions. CLSQ offers a broad range of policies covering risks frequently encountered during residential and commercial conveyancing. While many policies can be arranged instantly through its online PIPA platform, CLSQ's experienced underwriting team also supports more complex cases requiring a bespoke approach.

Alongside its conveyancing proposition, CLSQ has developed a comprehensive Estate Administration offering designed to help legal professionals manage the risks associated with probate and estate distribution. As family structures become more complex and estates increase in value, solicitors are increasingly seeking ways to protect themselves, executors and beneficiaries from unforeseen liabilities.

CLSQ's Estate Administration solutions include Section 27 Insurance, Missing Will Insurance, Early Distribution – Inheritance and Family Dependants Act Insurance, Missing Beneficiary cover and Will Register Searches. These products are designed to provide reassurance throughout the probate process, helping firms manage risk while enabling estates to be administered and distributed more efficiently.

These propositions form part of the wider CLSQ group, which has been supporting the legal and property sectors for more than 20 years. Throughout that time, its focus has remained on helping professionals identify, analyse and de-risk transactions through a combination of data, underwriting expertise and insurance-backed solutions.

Supporting law firms across the North of England Claire brings more than 20 years' experience in property legal services, having held senior roles at Property Information Exchange and tmGroup.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Claire said:

“The North of England is home to a highly respected legal community and becoming a Silver Sponsor of The Newcastle and North of England Law Society demonstrates CLSQ’s commitment to the region. I’m looking forward to meeting members, building new relationships and sharing the expertise that CLSQ can offer across both Legal Indemnity Insurance and Estate Administration.

We want to be recognised as thought leaders within the sector, sharing knowledge, practical insight and best practice that genuinely supports law firms in their day-to-day work. Law firms are operating in an increasingly complex environment and having access to trusted specialist support can make a significant difference to both practitioners and their clients. Our aim is to act as an extension of firms’ teams, helping to reduce workload, provide additional expertise and support firms in identifying and mitigating risk wherever possible.

This sponsorship, alongside our continued focus on the region, reflects our ambition to become a long-term partner to firms across the North and to contribute positively to the legal community.”
