Announcement of new sponsor - New Park Court Chambers
We are pleased to announce that New Park Court Chambers has become a sponsor of the Newcastle Law Society. New Park Court Chambers is a Tier 1 set of barristers with Chambers in Newcastle and Leeds.
With a strong reputation for conducting significant and substantial cases, New Park Court Chambers has nationally and internationally reputed counsel, with over 80 barristers, including 16 King’s Counsel, specialising in Crime, Regulatory, Professional Discipline, Inquests & Inquiries, Family and Civil law. New Park Court Chambers is also the home of the current North Eastern Circuit Leader, Jason Pitter KC, and a former Chair of the Bar Council, Alistair MacDonald KC.
New Park Court Chambers have been flying the flag for the northern legal sector by winning prominent legal awards, often dominated by London-based sets, including Chambers of the Year at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2025, Chambers of the Year 2024 at the British Legal Awards and, closer to home, Team of the Year – Crime and Regulatory at the Northern Law Awards 2024.
Embracing their broader societal responsibilities, New Park Court Chambers leads the Bar as the first Carbon Negative Chambers in England and Wales. They are also supporters of the 10,000 Black Interns scheme, provide the entire North Eastern Circuit with Fair Recruitment Training and Fair Allocation of Work Training, have been awarded Bar Council Wellbeing Certification and, through their unique outreach programme, they provide opportunities for students from non-traditional backgrounds to explore a career in law.
As sponsors, New Park Court Chambers will host three in-person seminars over the year, the first being a Family Seminar on 10 July, details of which will be circulated. Members from New Park Court Chambers will also attend Newcastle Law Society events, including the President’s Summer Party in June and the Newcastle Legal Walk in July.
We would like to thank New Park Court Chambers for their support and look forward to working with them as sponsors over the coming year.
