Live Theatre
Live Theatre is a theatre based on the Quayside, Newcastle. It is the only theatre in England, outside of London, that is dedicated to the creation and production of new plays. We nurture undiscovered, emerging and established playwrights to create world class plays with a social and political focus. We give writers and theatre makers the opportunity to tell the stories that are steeped in the concerns and issues of today, with a broad and diverse appeal, championing the people and culture of the North East. This historic intimate theatre, with a diverse programme of plays and an atmospheric bar, makes for a great night out on the Quayside.
