
Residential Property Solicitors/Conveyancer
Main purposes of role
- Undertake fee earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department.
- Ensure the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan.
- Undertake all fee earning work in line with the firms risk management strategies.
Key tasks (not an exhaustive list)
- Conduct of matters on behalf of clients to include personal and telephone attendance.
- Supervision of fee earning work undertaken by colleagues.
- Management of support services for which (s)he is responsible, including supervision of own secretary.
- Participation in marketing activities whether on a firm wide, departmental or office basis.
- Financial control with particular regard to cashflow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
- Undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and clients documentation and information.
- Ensure compliance across all areas of work to include anti-money laundering regulations & anti fraud measures.
Key skills, knowledge and experience required
- High level of technical knowledge in relevant area of law
- To be able to deliver client care to a very high level
- To be able to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Sound knowledge of regulatory framework
- To be able to supervise junior staff where appropriate
