Job Description – Contentious Probate Solicitor
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will have a proven track record of handling contentious Court of Protection applications together with claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, challenges to a Will or terms of a Trust, Executor/Trustee disputes and Statutory Will applications. They will be able to manage a varied workload efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively while showing strong attention to detail and an ability to work effectively under pressure. They will be able to supervise more junior members of the team and ideally will be members of ACTAPS, or working towards that qualification.
Our Dispute Resolution team is one of the most experienced in the region and includes solicitors and paralegals with a combined wealth of experience and expertise. You would be working within a departmental structure alongside supportive colleagues and an excellent highly trained support team.
We are happy for the applicant to choose their preferred base at either Viaduct House, Carlisle or Priestpopple House, Hexham. We operate using technology and case management systems that would also allow the successful applicant to effectively work from home and so applications for flexible or hybrid working would be considered in addition.
Our offices offer a warm welcome to clients and staff in modern office spaces with a traditional twist with ample meeting space at our locations.
