As we head into November it has been a very busy Autumn already with a number of fantastic events which I have been very proud to attend and support as your President over this last month.

On the 9^th October we held the Burnetts and Park Lane Plowden Chambers Quiz night a fundraiser in aid of my charity of the year Child Brain Injury Trust. Playing for the Mike Stubbs memorial shield in memory of Mike Stubbs practice director at Park Lane Plowden. We managed to raise over £6,000 for the charity which is a fantastic thank you to all the teams that took part.     

On the 10^th October we had the Newcastle Law Society Dinner which has become one the most prestigious black tie events in the North East Legal calendar. We were honoured to welcome The Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne & Wear, Ms Lucy Winskell OBE, to present the student prizes and we again celebrated our newly qualified solicitors at the event.  We were again hosted very well at the wonderful Grand Hotel, Gosforth Park and the event was again a sell out for the second consecutive year.

It was such a wonderful night thank you to everyone who made it possible including our sponsors. A big thank you again to everyone who attended and supported and to Sanchia Coatsworth and the team for organising and a special mention to Michael Laffey my good friend and fellow partner at Burnetts Solicitors who provided one of the best after dinner speech’s I have ever had the privilege to see. We also above all raised another £4,000 for my Presidents Charity of the year the Child Brain Injury Trust which is absolutely fantastic.
