Newcastle College are strengthening their employer partnerships for 2026

The Law & Criminal Justice Studies (LCJS) team at Newcastle College are currently strengthening their employer partnerships for the 2025/26 academic year and are reaching out to a small number of carefully selected law firms whose expertise aligns with the needs of our learners and the local sector.

They would be delighted to explore the possibility of working with North East law firms industry partners to help shape and endorse their Level 3 Law & Criminal Justice Studies programme. They aim to ensure the curriculum reflects the real skills and professional behaviours required in modern legal practice.

As part of this collaboration, they would greatly appreciate support with:

  • Insight into current skills, knowledge, and behaviours expected in industry
  • Feedback and scrutiny of the legal qualifications and content we deliver
  • Input into project-based learning, live briefs, or simulated casework
  • Identifying opportunities to further strengthen how we collaborate

In return, they would be pleased to:

  • Promote your firm through our curriculum, events, marketing, and employer network
  • Support your CSR and social value commitments, particularly around early intervention and widening access
  • Offer opportunities to meet and mentor future legal talent across Newcastle
  • Strengthen pathways from education into legal services careers

Newcastle College believe that your firm’s involvement would make a meaningful difference to the next generation of legal professionals in our region. I would welcome the chance to arrange a short meeting, either online or in person, to discuss this further please contact Laura Mitchell, Programme Leader of Law at Newcastle College Laura.Mitchell@ncl-coll.ac.uk
