Charity of the Year - The Child Brain Injury Trust
Paul Brown, President of Newcastle Law Society has immense pleasure in announcing who his chosen charity is for his Presidential year - The Child Brain Injury Trust. Please support Newcastle Law Society to raise vital funds for CBIT during Paul Brown’s Presidential year.
The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) is the UK’s leading charity supporting children, young people and their families affected by acquired brain injury. When a child acquires a brain injury it can have a devastating effect on all the family. Every year thousands of families are left without any support and often feel alone with nowhere to turn to. CBIT are there to support families and professionals working with children and young people who find themselves in need of financial support to help families navigate life after an ABI. From hospital stays to home adjustments, education challenges and mental health support, CBIT help every step of the way.
Every 15 minutes, a child in the UK sustains a brain injury that could change their life forever. At the Child Brain Injury Trust, we've supported over 20,000 families through their journey of recovery and adaptation.
"The support we received from CBIT gave us hope when we needed it most. They helped us understand our daughter's injury and showed us a path forward." - Sarah, parent
