Newcastle Law Society seeks new Head of Office

Newcastle Law Society seeks new Head of Office

Kate Goodings, our longstanding Secretary and Director of Operations, is retiring and the Society is looking to recruit her replacement. The successful applicant for this part time role  will have some familiarity with the legal profession and will work closely with our President.

Full details of the opportunity can be found in on our Situations Vacant page.

Regarding her time at the Society Kate said "For the last 27 years I have had the pleasure and the privilege of acting as the Director of Operations (Secretary) of the Newcastle upon Tyne Law Society.

I have worked with some wonderful people, beginning with my first President Colin Dickinson, up to our 2023 President, Emma Heather. I extend my personal thanks to each and every one of our Presidents, past and current, and of course to the Standing Committee Members, who work so hard on behalf of the solicitors in the north-east, often behind the scenes.

I am now looking to retire and step back from this role and the Society is looking for a new person to take my place in the team.  It's a great opportunity for someone with a real interest in the legal profession and in the North East of England. No two days are ever the same and new ideas are very welcome. I would be really grateful if you could pass the attached job description onto anyone who might be encouraged to apply.  This is a part time role and there is likely to be some flexibility in terms of how this might be structured. Administrative and financial support are on hand".
