Max Winthrop

Max has been a solicitor since 1991, having spent some years in industrial relations in the construction sector before qualifying.  His current workload covers the full spectrum of statutory and common law employment claims, representing both claimant and respondents in tribunals, courts and the Central Arbitration Committee. His client range is equally broad, including everything from individuals and office holders up to plc and local authorities. Many clients are fellow professionals, including solicitors, barristers’ chambers and members of the judiciary.

In addition to his work as a practitioner, he is a consulting editor for XpertHR’s on-line Employment Law Manual, responsible for the chapters on termination of employment. Max also holds regular podcasts and webinars for XpertHR and for the national Law Society on a variety of employment law topics. Max has also taught employment law at the University of Durham as an Academic Visitor.
