Commercial Property Paralegal to work from Newcastle or Sunderland office

Main purposes of role

1. Assist fee earner with fee earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department.
2. Ensure the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan.
3. Assist fee earner with all fee earning work in line with the firms risk management strategies 

Key tasks (not an exhaustive list)

1. Conduct of matters on behalf of clients to include personal and telephone attendance.
2. Participation in marketing activities whether on a firm wide, departmental or office basis.
3. Financial control with particular regard to cashflow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
4. Undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
5. Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and clients documentation and information.
6. Ensure compliance across all areas of work to include anti-money laundering regulations & anti fraud measures.

Key skills, knowledge and experience required

10. High level of technical knowledge in relevant area of law
11. To be able to deliver client care to a very high level
12. To be able to work to deadlines and under pressure
13. Sound knowledge of regulatory framework
14. To be able to supervise junior staff where appropriate
