The successful applicant will be preferably based in one of our North East or North West offices however we will consider appointment based at any of our UK Defra offices subject to capacity. Candidates will be at least 3 years post-qualified with a broad range of legal experience preferably gained in a regulatory regime. With good organisational skills and the ability to handle a busy and diverse caseload without supervision as well as being a strong team player.
The role will involve providing advice on civil and public law litigation but with a particular focus on providing legal advice to the MMOs marine licensing, planning, and wildlife licensing functions. This role will require the post holder to gain an understanding of the existing regulatory regime and practical implications and impact on the Organisation of exiting the EU. The work will offer the chance to extend and develop your knowledge and expertise across a wide range of marine related issues.
