
Membership
Our membership year runs from 1 November to 31 October.
Each year the Society makes a Call upon the members. This is done by way of a resolution passed at the Annual General Meeting. The AGM takes place part way through the membership year in late February/early March.
The membership contribution is dependent upon the applicant's role and position:
Full Membership
Full membership is available to all persons admitted as Solicitors of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (together with such European lawyers who have registered with the Law Society of England and Wales in accordance with the Establishment of Lawyers Directive 98/5/EC)

Corporate and Local Authority Rates
Corporate and Local Authority rates are available as a collective option to members working in larger firms and members working for eligible local authorities. Membership of the Society remains on an individual basis for each solicitor (who must apply in the normal way) and a block rate to cover the individual Calls is calculated as set out below.

Associate Membership
Any Trainee Solicitor or foreign lawyer (whether registered or not) employed in the geographical area of the Society is eligible to become an Associate Member. On their admission as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, Associate Members will automatically become full members of the Society.
